Hoshi means 'star' in Japanese. Aki Hoshino could then be very loosely read as "Aki of the Stars". While there's nothing alien-like about Aki, she does exude a celestial quality with that superfine body of hers. I read somewhere that her special ability was the skill of hoarding grapes in her mouth. I don't know .. Aki always did sorta remind me of a cute, sexy little chipmunk.
